Andres Iniesta, who scored the only goal in yesterday's World Cup final, reportedly took off his shirt after Spain won, earning him a yellow card. His undershirt reads "Dani Jarque siempre con nosotros." Translated it means "Dani Jarque is always with us."
Jarque, however, died of a heart attack last year. After the game, Andres talked about his tribute. "I wanted to keep Dani with me and with the other teammates. We wanted to pay tribute to him and we thought this was the best opportunity to do so.”
That is sooooo sweet! Is there a better way to honor a good friend and role model? Thoughts and opinions, comment below.
Hugs,
P.S: SPAIN WON! OMG! SPAIN WON! YES YES YES YES YES!!! :)
